A private hospital in Abuja has rejected online reports that social media personality Mukoro Mitchelle, better known as King Mitchy, died at its facility.
A statement shared on her Instagram account on Saturday announced that King Mitchy had allegedly died despite efforts by the medical team at “Prime Hospital” in Abuja to save her life. The message claimed her condition was critical upon arrival and that doctors described her survival chances as “50/50” due to late presentation.
In a statement released by the management of Prime Care Hospitals in Abuja, the facility described the claims as false.
“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle popularly known as King Mitchy at our facility in Abuja is FALSE,” the statement read.
“King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here.”
The hospital urged members of the public to stop sharing unverified information that could mislead and cause confusion.
The clarification follows a flurry of posts on social media suggesting that King Mitchy had died after reportedly ingesting a harmful substance in the midst of a heated feud with influencer VeryDarkMan.
VeryDarkMan and King Mitchy have been at odds online in recent days. The dispute began after King Mitchy shared video content about a school renovation she said she completed in Delta State, calling out VeryDarkMan.
“I have never seen anyone with integrity explain everyday that he/she has integrity. I did this in six days to show you how easy it is if you truly want to do something,” she wrote.
VeryDarkMan alleged that the project was politically motivated and claimed that Seyi Tinubu had been funding the influencer since 2023.
He also accused her of inappropriate conduct involving the president’s son.
