He called me daddy, Olakunle Churchill thanks ex-wife Tonto Dikeh after reuniting with son

Businessman Olakunle Churchill has publicly thanked his ex‑wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, after their son, King Andre, reached out to him and called him “Daddy” for the first time.

In a statement shared on Instagram on Sunday, Churchill said he was pleasantly surprised when he received the call from his son.

He said, “I was pleasantly surprised when I received a call from my son, King Andre, for the first time. Hearing him call me ‘Daddy’ was deeply touching and a reminder that what God cannot do does not exist.”

Churchill described the renewed contact with his son as evidence of growth, healing, and peace. He added, “Faith has a way of bringing clarity, humility and peace. I acknowledge the growth and grace evident in the manner in which this matter has been resolved.”

He also expressed gratitude to Tonto, saying, “…we are now focused on co‑parenting with love, care, and a shared commitment to raising our son. I am grateful to have my son back in my life. Thank you to the amazing mother of my son Tonto Dikeh for doing a good job.”

The reconciliation comes after nearly a decade marked by public disputes following their separation. Tonto Dikeh and Churchill married in 2015 and separated less than two years later amid disagreements that played out in court and online.

In a post on Saturday, Tonto said peace has replaced bitterness in their relationship, and she credited prayer, humility, and obedience to God for the turnaround.
