Singer Harrysong and his estranged wife Alexer Perez are back in the spotlight after Alexer announced she has agreed to give up custody of their two young children to the singer.
In a video shared online on Thursday, Alexer said the decision was difficult but necessary, citing exhaustion and ongoing pressure. She accused Harrysong of harassment and interference in her daily life, saying, “This man has not allowed me to rest. He frustrates my efforts. He comes to my house unannounced. He harasses me everywhere. There is nothing he hasn’t been doing but I can’t come online every time to tell you guys this is what I am passing through. At this point, I am tired.”
She added that although he wants control, he is rarely present. “He is barely around. It is his househelp and houseboy that are in the house. He just wants to feel that he is in charge,” she said.
Alexer also revealed that the singer had filed a petition against her, adding, “I will counter all the things you have said against me.”
Explaining her decision, she said, “I am going to now give him custody, for now. That doesn’t mean I am not going to come back for my children. It is just that I have had enough.” She stressed that the children, aged four and three, would be living with domestic staff and described the move as an attempt to frustrate her after she rejected reconciliation.
“I am not doing this because I am weak. I am doing this because I need to live. That is why I am doing this. I am not backing down but I need to go find my life since you said you can take care of them very well,” she said, warning that nothing must happen to the children.
Harrysong, whose real name is Harrison Okiri, married Alexer in March 2021. Their separation has been marked by public accusations from both sides. The singer has yet to respond to this latest development.
