Guaranty Trust Bank Ltd (GTBank) has announced the launch of Quick Airtime Loan, a digital service that gives customers access to airtime on credit when they run out of call credit and have limited funds in their accounts.
According to the bank, eligible customers can access between N100 and N10,000 by dialling *737*90#.
The service is available across major mobile networks in Nigeria. The bank said the offering will later expand to include data loans.
GTBank said airtime credit services have largely been provided by telecommunications companies at charges of 15 percent.
It stated that its Quick Airtime Loan is priced at 2.95 percent.
Commenting on the launch, Managing Director of GTBank Miriam Olusanya said the product reflects the bank’s focus on digital solutions built around customer needs.
