Gospel singer Judith Kanayo‑Opara, known professionally as Judikay, and her husband, Anselem Opara, have welcomed their second child.
Judikay announced the birth on Instagram, saying their daughter, Shekinah Opara, was born on February 14.
On her Instagram page, Judikay wrote:
“On the 14th of February 2026, we welcomed our second baby: Shekinah Umechukwu Opara; The Breath and Manifest Glory of the Lord. She is God’s literal love gift to us 😁🥰 … Have you seen the Lord fail? 😁… Jesus has the final (scratch that) ONLY say. … We are raising this praise RIWÒTITÒ HALLELUYAH 🎶 so loud! All Glory to Jesus.”
Judikay’s announcement comes after she publicly shared that she had suffered six miscarriages over the years. In a recent video, she described how her sixth pregnancy loss in February 2025 began with cramps and light bleeding that quickly became heavy. She said she realised she had lost the pregnancy and was taken to a hospital where doctors performed a procedure to manage what was described as a missed miscarriage.
Judikay said the experience was deeply painful, adding that in private moments she struggled emotionally even while expressing gratitude publicly.
The gospel singer and her husband married in November 2020. Their first child, a son, was welcomed in March 2022.
Judikay is known for her work in gospel music, including the hit song ‘More Than Gold.’
