Filmmaker Funke Akindele is set to attend the grand finale of Priscilla Ojo’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The star-studded celebration, scheduled for May 28, is the final leg of the couple’s wedding festivities which began earlier in the year with a Nikkah ceremony, followed by traditional and white weddings in Lagos.
Funke, who shares a close bond with Priscilla’s mother Iyabo Ojo, previously congratulated the bride and groom on their big day. In an emotional message, she praised Priscilla’s joy as a reflection of her mother’s love and commitment.
Although the actress missed the Lagos ceremonies, she expressed regret over her absence and later joined others in celebrating Priscilla’s first post-wedding endorsement deal.
Taking to her comment section, Funke hailed it as her “season of winning and celebration.”
In a recent update, the Battle on Buka Street director was spotted at the airport taking photos with fellow actress Jaiye Kuti and fans. Reports indicate she was en route to Tanzania to join the final celebration.
The event is expected to draw guests from Nigeria, Tanzania and other countries.
Juma Jux, speaking ahead of the big day, said the finale would be a blend of wedding, fashion and entertainment, promising a night of music, dance and unforgettable memories.
