Filmmaker Funke Akindele has marked another major box office milestone as her latest film, Behind The Scenes, grossed N1.77 billion in earnings.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, Funke shared a poster of the film displaying the figure.
She wrote, “Hardwork and grace has brought me thus far. In all you do, stay focused, zero distractions, and remain grateful for every opportunity you’re given. Thank you to everyone supporting the BEHIND THE SCENES movement. Let’s take it to the next level.”
FilmOne Entertainment, the film’s distributor, also announced the milestone in a statement shared online. “Celebrating yet another incredible milestone and we’re so sure we wouldn’t have done this without you and your love. Behind The Scenes hits a whopping N1.77B also standing as the Number 1 film of the weekend. Thank you to everyone for the love and support so far,” the company said.
FilmOne noted that the movie is currently showing in cinemas across Nigeria, as well as in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
Behind The Scenes was released in Nigerian cinemas in December 2025.
The film was produced by Funke Akindele alongside Wendy Imasuen and co directed by Funke and Tunde Olaoye.
The drama tells the story of Aderonke “Ronky Fella” Faniran, a successful real estate entrepreneur whose generosity and sense of responsibility begin to affect her personal life.
The cast includes Funke Akindele, Scarlet Gomez, Iyabo Ojo, Destiny Etiko, Tobi Bakre, Uzor Arukwe, Ini Dima Okojie, Ibrahim Chatta, Mr Macaroni, Uche Montana and Victoria Adeyele, popularly known as Vee.
The film remains in cinemas nationwide and continues its run in international markets.
