The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, will hold a National Legacy Service on December 6, in honour of its late co-founder, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya.
The event is themed “20 Years On… Her Life. Her Impact. Her Legacy.”
Pastor Odukoya died on December 10, 2005, from injuries sustained in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash in Port Harcourt.
The aircraft, which took off from Abuja, crash-landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport, resulting in multiple fatalities, including students of Loyola Jesuit College and other passengers.
Bimbo Odukoya was 45 at the time of her death.
According to the church, the service is designed to highlight the work she carried out through the Single and Married Ministry, books, television programmes and conferences that reached audiences within and outside Nigeria.
A documentary tribute featuring archived footage, teachings and interviews will premiere during the service.
The church will also unveil a Legacy Gallery Exhibition displaying moments from her life, ministry milestones, quotes and preserved photographs.
Another part of the programme, the #MyPastorBimboStory showcase, will feature stories submitted by individuals in Nigeria and the Diaspora who were influenced by her teachings.
Selected entries will be incorporated into the documentary and presented during the service.
The church said the gathering will include a worship and reflection segment and contributions from ministers, leaders and other individuals connected to her work.
The Legacy Service will hold at The Fountain of Life Church, 12 Industrial Estate Road, Ilupeju, Lagos.
The event will be held in person and streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.
