Foremost estate surveyor Jide Taiwo buries wife

Renowned estate surveyor and valuer Jide Taiwo will on Thursday, October 23, lay his wife, Rabi Taiwo (née Iyemifokhae), to rest. Mrs Taiwo died on September 24 at the age of 72.

A funeral service will be held at the City of David, Trinity Towers, Oniru Estate, followed by a private interment. A service of songs was held at the same venue on Wednesday.

Chief Taiwo is the chairman of Jide Taiwo & Co, one of Nigeria’s leading real estate firms, which he founded in 1980.

In a message posted on social media on Wednesday, the company paid tribute to Mrs Taiwo, describing her as a woman of “grace and warmth.”

The message reads:

“With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Chief (Mrs) Rabi Taiwo, beloved wife of our Chairman, Chief Jide Taiwo.

“A woman of grace and warmth. Her legacy will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the Taiwo family during this time of profound loss.

“May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

Her husband celebrated his 75th birthday in April.

The couple’s first daughter, Jumoke Anifalaje, is married to Jire Anifalaje, principal partner and chief executive officer of Emporium Communications Limited.
