Florence Ajimobi on Thursday paid tribute to her late daughter Abisola Kola-Daisi as family and friends marked what would have been her 45th birthday.

Abisola died on March 27, 2025 in the United Kingdom at the age of 44 after an illness linked to breast cancer.

She was the eldest daughter of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi and a mother of three.

In a message shared on Instagram, Mrs Ajimobi said the family remembered Abisola on what would have been her birthday.

“Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Abisola Kola-Daisi on what would have been her birthday,” she wrote.

Ajimobi said her daughter lived with kindness and maintained close relationships with family and friends.

“She carried herself with dignity and kindness, touching many lives with her generosity of spirit and her deep love for family and friends,” she said.

She said Abisola grew up in a family known for public service and community work but also built her own path.

“As the daughter of Abiola Ajimobi and Florence Ajimobi, she was raised in a home built on values of service and compassion. Yet beyond her family name, Abisola built her own identity and showed care for others,” she added.

Ajimobi said her daughter’s death left a gap in the family but the memories she left continue to remain with those who knew her.

“Though her passing left a void, the memories she created and the love she shared continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her,” she said.

In another post, Ajimobi said the family marked what she described as her daughter’s 45th posthumous birthday.

“Today marks the 45th posthumous birthday of my daughter and first fruit, Abisola. Though you are no longer with us physically, your love and memories continue to live in our hearts every day,” she wrote.

She added that the family remembers Abisola with love and gratitude for the time they spent together.

“Happy heavenly birthday, my dear daughter. You are forever loved and forever missed,” she wrote.

Abisola Kola-Daisi served as special adviser to the minister of budget and economic planning, Atiku Bagudu, until her death. She was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi and had three children.
