FirstBank has launched a new platform called FirstMonie Merchant Solution designed to help businesses across Nigeria accept digital payments more easily.
A statement from the bank says the solution offers simple onboarding for merchants. It also includes features like Pay with Transfer, Purchase, instant settlement, and a referral system.
Merchants, the bank said, will get pre-configured POS terminals that are ready to use. They will also have access to a dashboard for real-time monitoring, dispute resolution, and complaint handling.
Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive for E-Business and Retail Products at FirstBank, said the platform will help businesses grow in the digital economy.
“FirstMonie Merchant Solution is set to transform digital payments in Nigeria. With its advanced features and seamless onboarding, we are empowering businesses of all sizes and locations to thrive in the digital economy,” he said.
Mr Ezirim added that the service will improve transparency, speed, and control in daily transactions.
New and existing FirstBank account holders can register online to get started.
FirstBank says the platform will help merchants keep their funds safe while offering reliable payment services.
The bank has been in operation for 131 years and has over 300,000 FirstMonie agents across Nigeria. It says the launch of this service is part of its plan to make financial services more accessible and secure.
