Oversabi Aunty, co-produced by FilmOne Studios and Toyin Abraham Films Production, has grossed N1,081,177,001 at the Nigerian box office, placing it among Nollywood’s highest‑earning theatrical releases.

This was revealed in a statement released on Friday.

According to the statement, the milestone follows the success of Alakada Bad and Boujee in 2025, which earned over N500 million, showing strong audience support for FilmOne-backed productions. Oversabi Aunty has more than doubled that figure, reflecting growing audience demand and consistent delivery from the FilmOne–Toyin Abraham partnership.

Kene Okwuosa, Group CEO of Filmhouse Group, said, “This milestone is significant not only because Oversabi Aunty has crossed N1 billion, but because of the trajectory it confirms. The progression from N500 million in 2025 to N1 billion in 2026 reflects sustained audience growth, disciplined execution, and the value of long-term creative partnerships.”

Ladun Awobokun, Chief Content Officer at FilmOne Entertainment, added, “Growth from N500 million to N1 billion across consecutive years is the result of belief in the talent, operational discipline, and close collaboration across production and distribution. Oversabi Aunty is a strong validation of that approach.”

Released in December 2025, the comedy-drama tells the story of an overzealous church usher whose attempts to help everyone lead to chaotic situations. The film has also begun screening internationally, including the United Kingdom, with plans for the United States and Canada.

FilmOne said Oversabi Aunty demonstrates how long-term creative partnerships, integrated production, and audience alignment can drive box office growth.

Oversabi Aunty was released in cinemas nationwide on December 19. The film, directed and produced by Toyin Abraham, blends comedy and family drama.

The cast includes Toyin Abraham, Mike Ezuruonye, Efe Irele, Queen Nwokoye, Jemima Osunde, Tana Adelana, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Ngozi Ezeonu and Toyin Afolayan.
