Femi Branch’s bible‑themed film Esther debuts on YouTube

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Branch has released his latest movie, Esther, on YouTube.

The film launched on the channel Iseda TV on Friday, making it freely available to audiences online.

The news was shared in a collaboration post on Instagram, which read:

“NOW SHOWING
The wait is finally over. ESTHER is now live on our YouTube channel @IsedaTv
A powerful story of courage, faith, sacrifice, and divine purpose.
This is more than a movie, it’s a reminder that God places us where we are for such a time as this.”

Femi is the writer, producer and director of the project, while Iseda TV serves as executive producer and On Cre Studios as the production house.

Cast members who appear in Esther, includes Femi Branch himself alongside Folake Babatunde, also known as The Pretty Fola, Taiwo Ibikunle, Wale Adebayo, Lolade Okusanya, Adelegan Rotimi, Omo Jokerazak and Basira Beere.

Esther is based on the Biblical story of the same name, a narrative about a Jewish woman who becomes queen of Persia and plays a key role in saving her people from destruction. In promotion shared on social media, cast members described the film as a “story of faith, obedience, and divine timing,” emphasising its religious themes.

Femi Branch has appeared in a wide range of Nigerian films over the years, including roles in mainstream productions like The Black Book and Farmer’s Bride, establishing him as a versatile actor in both English‑language and Yoruba cinema.
