Fast-rising singer Sabi, known for his song ‘Show Your Style,’ has been killed by gunmen in Lagos.
According to reports, the artiste was shot dead by unidentified attackers in the state.
Sabi, whose real name was Sabinus Obi, was said to have been attacked on Tuesday night at a hotel where he was staying.
His younger brother, Kingsley, confirmed the incident, saying a group of armed men stormed the premises and opened fire, leading to his death.
Details surrounding the killing remain unclear, including the motive behind the attack and whether any arrests have been made.
As of the time of filing this report, the police had yet to issue an official statement on the incident, with investigations said to be ongoing.
A witness account claimed the assailants asked for the singer’s manager before carrying out the attack and fleeing the scene.
Before his death, Sabi had begun gaining attention in the Nigerian music industry, particularly in the early 2010s with ‘Show Your Style,’ which later had a remix featuring Oritse Femi.
