Rapper Falz has responded to fans who criticized him for faking a wedding with staged pre-wedding photos.

The photos posted on Instagram on Saturday featured Falz alongside a mystery woman, with visuals and captions strongly suggesting a wedding was on the way.

Many fans and followers were quick to assume the rapper had finally tied the knot. However, the big twist came when it was revealed that the images were actually promotional content for his new music video titled ‘Famomi’.

Following the dramatic reveal, fans took to social media to drag the rapper, accusing him of “crying wolf” and warning that no one would believe it when he actually gets married.

Falz has since responded with humor and wit in a new Instagram video on Wednesday. Addressing the backlash, he said:

“One of the funniest things is like, since the big reveal and everyone found out, oh, I’m not actually married… a lot of people have been like, ‘Oh, this is the boy who cried wolf. When you actually get married, nobody’s going to care.’

“Bold of you to assume I’d even want you in the marriage with me. Bold of you to assume that if I ever do get married, I’d share it with the world.

“It’s so funny. But hey, you never know. I might be so in love that I decide to let everyone know. You never know.

“Best of luck and stay tuned. Thanks, and God bless.”
