Several Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemates have been disqualified over the years for violating house rules, mostly involving physical violence, inappropriate behaviour and other breaches.
Since its return in 2017, the reality TV show has produced endless drama, fights and controversies. But on some occasions, housemates have been sent packing – not by eviction, but through disqualification.
So far, eight contestants have suffered that fate.
Kemen (2017 – Season 2)
Kemen became the first housemate to be disqualified after he was caught on camera inappropriately touching TBoss while she slept. The incident sparked widespread debate on consent and boundaries in the BBNaija house.
Khloe and K-Brule (2018 – Season 3)
The duo made history as the first pair to be disqualified. They were shown the door after receiving three strikes for unruly behaviour. Khloe’s heated exchange with K-Brule, where she insulted his mother, sealed their fate.
Tacha (2019 – Season 4)
Tacha was one of the most popular contestants of her season, but her fight with Mercy Eke led to her exit. She pulled Mercy’s hair during the altercation – an act Big Brother ruled as violence.
Erica (2020 – Season 5)
Erica was disqualified after several offences, including insulting her fellow housemates and pouring water on the Head of House’s bed to prevent another contestant from sleeping there.
Beauty Tukura (2022 – Season 7)
Former Miss Nigeria Beauty Tukura was shown the exit after she threw her wig and glasses at Groovy during a quarrel. She left the house just two weeks into the show.
IU Prisa (2024 – Season 9)
IU Prisa made headlines after being disqualified before she even entered the house. She had breached the show’s confidentiality rules by announcing she was a contestant on social media.
Faith (2025 – Season 10)
Faith’s journey ended abruptly after a physical clash with Sultana during a skincare task rehearsal. The fight left Sultana injured, forcing Big Brother to disqualify her.
