Faith Oyedepo, wife of Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), has celebrated Archbishop Margaret Idahosa, the widow of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, on her 82nd birthday.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Pastor Oyedepo penned a heartfelt message to honour the revered matriarch of Church of God Mission International (CGMi).
She wrote, “Happy 83rd birthday to my dear mama. I thank God for keeping, upholding and ushering you into this season of life. I pray for more strength and greater grace as you forge ahead in life and destiny in Jesus’ name, amen. Thank you for being a blessing! Congratulations and many happy returns Ma.”
Archbishop Margaret Idahosa, a pioneer among female Pentecostal leaders in Nigeria, has continued to command deep admiration for her years of service and leadership in ministry since the death of her husband, Archbishop Benson Idahosa, in 1998.
Her son, Bishop Feb Idahosa, also celebrated her in a lighthearted Instagram post, writing, “Happy birthday mom. How old is Archbishop today?”
In addition, the CGMi The Historic Miracle Centre, one of the many arms of the ministry she leads, honoured her with a glowing tribute on Instagram.
“Happy 82nd Birthday, Mama! Today, we join heaven and the nations of the earth in celebrating a general, a mother, a trailblazer, and a gift to generations… You are not just our Archbishop, you are our mother, mentor, intercessor, and a true inspiration,” the message read in part.
The post further expressed gratitude for her legacy, blessings and the impact of her leadership on generations past and present.
Archbishop Idahosa has long been regarded as a pioneering voice in the Nigerian Christian landscape, becoming the first female Archbishop in Africa and continuing to oversee the ministry her late husband began decades ago.
She remains an inspiration to many within and beyond church walls.
