Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, Toyin Saraki, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and QEDNG publisher Olumide Iyanda on Tuesday attended a service of songs held in honour of Oluwakemi James.
The event took place at Daystar Christian Centre headquarters in Oregun, Ikeja.
Oluwakemi was the wife of Michael Effiong James, an aide to the Akwa Ibom State governor.
Her two children, a boy and a girl, were present at the service, alongside family members and friends.
Other attendees included Steve Ayorinde, Michael Dada, Dele Momodu, Aniekan Umanah and Azuh Arinze.
Also present were Seun Soyinka, Henry Akinwole, Nkechi Ali-Balogun, Pastor Mercy Adeyemo, Pastor Funlola Ifebogun, Minister Elizabeth Lemoshe, Pastor Mayokun Oreofe and Minister Module Agboola.
Pastor Ighodalo delivered a message titled “Treasure.”
He spoke about the loss of his wife Ibiduni Ighodalo and shared his experience after her death.
“Treasure what you have and be thankful to God for the treasure he gave you. You never know what God is doing but all he does are good,” he said.
Oluwakemi James died on March 13 from injuries sustained in a domestic accident at her home in Ogba, Lagos.
Announcing her death, her husband said she was a mother to their children and others.
A farewell service will hold on Wednesday, April 1 at the same venue.
