Farida Fasasi, wife of late singer Sound Sultan, has shared a family photo to mark the Muslim celebration of Eid Mubarak.
The mother of three took to Instagram on Friday to post a photo of herself and her children posing together for the celebration.
She kept the caption simple, writing, “Eid Mubarak.”
Farida’s post drew warm reactions from fans and followers, many of whom dropped prayers and well wishes in the comments.
Her husband, Sound Sultan, whose real name was Olanrewaju Fasasi, died on July 11, 2021, in the United States at the age of 44.
The beloved singer and songwriter died after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), a rare form of cancer that affects the lymphatic system.
In October 2024, Farida and her children paid an emotional visit to Sound Sultan’s gravesite in New Jersey, USA.
She posted a video of the moment on Instagram, showing the family praying at the grave, laying flowers and quietly reflecting in honour of the late musician.
The tribute went viral at the time, touching the hearts of fans who continue to remember Sound Sultan’s legacy in the Nigerian music industry.
