The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, wife of music star 2Baba, over alleged misconduct.

During Tuesday’s plenary, Speaker Blessing Agbebaku said Natasha’s name had been “trending negatively in the media,” adding that her actions were “dragging the House into disrepute.” She is expected to appear before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week to explain herself. The committee will report back within two weeks.

Natasha, a granddaughter of businessman Gabriel Igbinedion, has been at the centre of intense public scrutiny following a viral London video involving her and 2Baba.

The drama escalated after a video surfaced showing 2Baba being approached and later handcuffed by police at Gatwick Airport in London. The footage, which went viral on Monday, showed security officers intervening after what appeared to be a heated exchange between the couple.

2Baba’s former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, later confirmed the video was real.

Speaking on Instagram Live with Daddy Freeze, he said: “Everything you heard about the couple’s face-off was true.”

He explained that the trouble began shortly after their arrival in London. Fans had pulled 2Baba into a shop, leaving Natasha behind. When she felt abandoned, an argument reportedly broke out, leading to police intervention. Kaka revealed that the musician was handcuffed in the process.

Hours after the video circulated, another dispute unfolded publicly during Daddy Freeze’s Instagram Live broadcast. Former managers of 2Baba joined the session, alleging that Natasha was exerting unhealthy control over the singer.

One of them claimed: “That outburst was pure rage, from zero to 1000… same rage, same screaming.”

The live session ended abruptly when shouting believed to be between 2Baba and Natasha was heard in the background, causing the singer to cut the broadcast.
