Gospel singer Ebuka Songs has criticised the “Expect More” campaign billboards associated with President Bola Tinubu, saying Nigerians are no longer expecting anything from the government.
The billboards, which have appeared across parts of the country, promote a message that more benefits are ahead for citizens.
Reacting on Instagram on Sunday, Ebuka expressed frustration over the situation in the country, particularly insecurity and hardship, questioning the priority of putting up campaign messages.
“Baba!!!!
Please, we are not expecting anything again, the one wey you do issok.
People are dying daily, and all you do is put billboards everywhere??? What sort of rubbish is this?
“Please, sir, leave Nigeria alone. We can’t expect anything. Thank you, sir. Your Government has indeed failed.
“Every Bloodshed will Continue to Cry out as evey wicked man involved in all this mess will never go Unpunished Amen.
“Great Nigeria”.
His reaction adds to a growing list of public figures who have recently spoken about conditions in the country.
Footballer Emmanuel Emenike earlier shared concerns about Nigeria’s direction, stating that those hoping for change from current leadership may be mistaken. Actor Kanayo O Kanayo also lamented economic hardship, while actor Kunle Remi expressed concern over the burden faced by ordinary Nigerians.
