Gospel singer Dunsin Oyekan has reacted to the surprising mix of gospel and secular songs revealed in Nigerians’ Spotify Wrapped 2025.
While some fans stayed loyal to gospel, others combined worship tracks with secular hits, sparking conversation in the Christian community.
Some Wrapped results showed fans listening to gospel stars like Dunsin Oyekan, Nathaniel Bassey, Moses Bliss, alongside secular artists such as Odumodu Blvck and Olamide. The mix caught Dunsin’s attention, prompting him to tweet, “Spotify wrap👀👀👀. These mixtures…..🚶🏾🚶🏾.”
Spotify Wrapped shows users’ top five artists, top five songs, and total minutes spent streaming over the year.
The blend of gospel and secular music generated reactions online. One user wrote, “How did Nathaniel Bassey and OdumoduBlvck end up in the same Spotify Wrapped? Una dey burst my brain.” Another said, “By starting your day with the Most High and ending it on a high.”
Spotify Wrapped 2025, released December 3, added interactive features that let users explore their listening “stories,” revisit favourite days, and share results. Users need to stream at least 30 songs for 30 seconds each and listen to a minimum of five artists over the year to qualify.
