The Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN) has congratulated filmmakers including Tunde Kelani and Daniel Etim-Effiong on their nominations for Best Director at the 2026 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
In a post shared on its official Instagram page on Thursday, the guild praised the nominees for their contributions to the industry.

The AMVCA, organised annually by Africa Magic, recognises achievements in television, film, and entertainment across Africa.
Kelani is widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most respected filmmakers. Daniel, who began his career as an actor, has in recent years expanded into directing and production.
