Sholape Demola-Seriki, the youngest wife of the late minister of state for defence and ambassador to Spain, Ademola Seriki, has mourned her senior wife, Oluremi Seriki and commiserated with her stepchildren.
In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Mrs Demola-Seriki expressed sympathy to her stepchildren, acknowledging the pain caused by the death of their mother.
“I commiserate with my stepchildren on the loss of their mother, Aunty Remi, Mrs Remi Seriki,” she said.
She prayed that her stepchildren would find strength and comfort in the memories of their late mother and asked for divine guidance and support for the family as they go through the period of mourning.
“May Almighty God continue to comfort you all with her memories and guide and be with you during this sensitive time,” she concluded.
Oluremi Seriki died on Friday, October 24, in New York after a brief illness, four days before her 66th birthday.
Her death was announced on Sunday in a statement signed by her children, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, Olawale Demola-Seriki and Kanyinsola Demola-Seriki.
Oluremi Sikirat Seriki was born on October 28, 1960 and died at the age of 65.
She was the first wife of the late Ademola Seriki, who died on December 15, 2022, in Madrid, Spain, while serving as Nigeria’s ambassador.
The late politician was married to three women, Oluremi Seriki, Wosilat Okoya-Seriki and Sholape Demola-Seriki.
Sholape Demola-Seriki is a lawyer, leadership and change management expert and motivational speaker.
She serves as the Process and Change Management lead lawyer at AfCFTA Nigeria.
She holds degrees in business law and information technology and is the CEO of BNL and DemaniBisket Supermart.
