Singer Davido has been in Hawaii with his wife, Chioma, enjoying personal time with a legal dispute in Nigeria.
On his Instagram story, Davido shared clips and photos from the trip. One image showed the couple on a private jet upon arrival at the popular vacation destination. In video clips, they were seen taking part in zip-lining adventures, with Chioma appearing alone on one of the rides.
The posts come amid a N1 billion pre-action notice served on Davido by the lawyer representing Sophia Momodu in her ongoing custody dispute with the singer.
The notice was issued by Ebelechukwu Enedah and accuses Davido of harassment, cyberbullying, threats to life and defamatory conduct linked to recent court proceedings in Lagos.
The legal notice says Davido behaved “in a manner unbecoming of a litigant” during a hearing on February 12 and was “aggressive and verbally abusive” towards Mrs Enedah. It also claims that social media statements attributed to Davido exposed the lawyer and her family to threats and abusive communications.
The notice demands that Davido withdraw all offensive statements, issue a public apology on his social media accounts and in national newspapers, and stop any further commentary or indirect references to the matter.
It also seeks N1,000,000,000 in damages for alleged reputational harm and emotional distress. If Davido does not meet the demands within seven days, the law firm said it will file a lawsuit at the High Court of Lagos State.
The legal action is part of a long-running custody dispute between Davido and Sophia Momodu over their daughter, Imade. The case has drawn public attention, with both parties making statements online and in court. Earlier reports said Davido accused Momodu of using the passing of his late son, Ifeanyi, against him in the dispute.
