Singer Davido is representing Nigeria at the 2026 edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California, where he is set to perform as the only confirmed Nigerian act on the lineup.
The festival has officially begun in California, drawing thousands of music fans from different parts of the world, with Afrobeats once again represented on the global stage.
Davido will perform alongside international stars including Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G.
The festival is taking place over two consecutive weekends in Indio, California and features performances across pop, electronic music, rock, reggaeton and K pop. The opening day includes Sabrina Carpenter, who promised “the most ambitious show” of her career, alongside Teddy Swims, girl group KATSEYE and veteran acts such as Moby. The night will close with Italian DJ Anyma, who is set to debut a new audiovisual project titled “ÆDEN.”
Saturday’s lineup brings Justin Bieber, alongside electronic DJs Armin van Buuren, Adam Beyer and David Guetta. K pop acts including Taemin and PinkPantheress are also scheduled, with David Byrne of Talking Heads and the collaborative project Nine Inch Noize among the performers.
Sunday’s finale will feature Karol G, BIGBANG, Iggy Pop, Fatboy Slim, Major Lazer, Foster the People and FKA twigs. The festival will also include a special screening of HBO’s Euphoria Season 3 under the desert sky.
The festival is held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio and is widely regarded as one of the biggest music and arts events in the world. It brings together artistes from different genres and is followed globally through live-streamed broadcasts on YouTube, allowing audiences outside the United States to watch selected performances in real time.
