Singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, honoured the memory of his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, at his white wedding to Chioma Adeleke in Miami, Florida, on Sunday.
Davido wore custom cufflinks bearing Ifeanyi’s image and shared a photo of them on his Instagram story.
The couple’s white wedding comes a year after their traditional ceremony in Lagos in 2024.
The event drew guests from Nigeria’s business, political and entertainment sectors.
Musicians Adekunle Gold, Teni, Zlatan Ibile and D’banj were among those in attendance, including at the couple’s pre-wedding dinner.
Other dignitaries including former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu were also present.
Davido disclosed that the wedding cost $3.7 million, saying, “We spent $3.7m in cash. You should know what we are doing. It’s crazy.”
Ifeanyi died in October 2022 after drowning in a swimming pool at Davido’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos.
The couple, who met during their university years, welcomed a set of twins born in October 2023.
