Actress Dakore Egbuson has joined her brother, actor Timini Egbuson, in mourning their father, Samuel Egbuson.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, Dakore shared several photos of herself and her late father.
In an emotional post, she wrote: “My Darling #dakorians🦅💫💋 My Dearest Papa passed away on the 1st of January 2026 🥲🥲🥲 Daddy, May your soul rest in perfect peace and power 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️💔💔💔💔💔
“I’m so totally heartbroken yet glad that you’re free from pain 🥲
I’m grateful for the memories and the laughter, your legacy of excellence that you instilled in my siblings and I, your love for music and looking fly! ❤️❤️❤️✨✨✨
“Despite the complexity of our family you are immensely loved and missed beyond comprehension.I love you forever and till infinity and beyond.

Her post came a day after Timini announced their father’s death on Instagram. The actor shared photos of the deceased and wrote: “Didn’t think I’ll start the year saying this … Rest in peace Dad 🕊️ So much left unsaid but I’ll keep making you proud.”
Timini Egbuson is a Nigerian actor from Bayelsa State and is known for his roles in television and films including Shuga, Elevator Baby, Fifty, Skinny Girl in Transit and Manhunting with Mum. He began his acting career on the soap opera Tinsel and has remained active in the industry for over a decade.
Dakore Egbuson is a respected actress and media personality, while Timini has also earned recognition for his performances, including an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Actor in a Drama. The siblings have often spoken about the strong influence of their parents on their lives and careers.
