A chief magistrate court sitting in Abuja has summoned rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, over alleged criminal intimidation of Olayinka Onobun, head of A&R at Chocolate City Music.

In a court summons dated November 3, Chief Magistrate Farida Ibrahim ordered the rapper to appear before the court on November 6 to answer the charges levelled against him.

Onobun, who also serves as A&R manager for rapper Blaqbonez, alleged that Odumodublvck intimidated him through a series of posts on X.

In a petition submitted to the court, Onobun’s lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi urged the magistrate to issue a criminal summons against the rapper for a thorough investigation and possible prosecution.

“The defendant has, by his actions, threatened the complainant with injury to his person in order to cause fear to the complainant,” Olajengbesi said.

“It is clear that the cumulative acts of the defendant constitute criminal intimidation contrary to and punishable under Sections 396 and 397 of the Penal Code Act, Cap 532, Laws of the FCT, Nigeria, 2006.”

The development follows Odumodublvck’s recent social media clash with Morin Oluwatobi, manager of Blaqbonez, which reignited tensions between both rappers.

On Saturday, the rapper also accused MI Abaga, a Chocolate City artiste, of hypocrisy and cowardice.

He alleged that MI chose to “sit on the fence” in the face of “a blatant lie.”

Earlier on Monday, Odumodublvck said the past few weeks had been “heavy,” claiming he and his friends had been “painted in terrible lights.”

He added that a “deeply personal” issue had been twisted into something it was not.

Odumodublvck is signed to Native Records and Def Jam. He is best known for hit songs such as ‘Declan Rice’ and ‘Blood on the Dance Floor.’
