The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the interim forfeiture of a property belonging to socialite and club owner Mike Nwalie, popularly known as Pretty Mike, over alleged involvement in drug storage and distribution.
Justice Musa Kakaki gave the order on Tuesday after hearing an ex parte motion filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) through its counsel, Buhari Abdulahi.
According to the NDLEA, the property located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, houses Proxy Lagos Night Club, which was allegedly used to store 169 cylinders (384.662 kilograms) of nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas and 200 grams of cannabis sativa.
In a supporting affidavit, Deputy Commander of Narcotics Nasiru Garba Bungudu said the agency received credible intelligence in October 2025 about plans for a large-scale drug party at the club.
Following surveillance, NDLEA operatives raided the nightclub around midnight on October 26, recovering the substances and arresting over 200 persons, including Pretty Mike and one Joachim Hillary, who reportedly manages the club and allegedly handles drug sales.
The NDLEA maintained that the venue had been used as a hub for illegal trade “with the consent of the owner.”
Abdulahi told the court that the forfeiture request was to preserve the property while investigations continued, adding that “no party would be prejudiced” by the order.
After reviewing the motion, Justice Kakaki granted the interim forfeiture and ordered that all activities at the nightclub remain suspended pending the conclusion of the investigation.
The case was adjourned till January 28, 2026.
Pretty Mike, known for his flamboyant lifestyle and controversial public appearances, has yet to respond to the court order or the NDLEA’s allegations.
