Court grants Oduduwa University founder Ramon Adedoyin permission to get healthcare

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the inspector-general of police (IGP) to allow Osun hotelier Ramon Adedoyin access to quality medical facility of his choice.

Justice Inyang Ekwo gave the order in a ruling on a motion filed by Mr Adedoyin through his lawyer, Kule Adegoke.

The IGP is to take or allow the founder of Oduduwa University to access quality medical facilities of his choice pending the conclusion of the investigation and possible arraignment or pending determination of the fundamental rights enforcement application filed for the applicant.

Adedoyin is being held over the death of a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Timothy Adegoke. The student reportedly died in Adedoyin’s Hilton hotel in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The court had on Tuesday denied Adedoyin bail. The hotelier has been in police custody since November 15.
