Court frees suspected Nyanya bombing mastermind, Ogwuche

Aminu Sadiq OgwucheA Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the two counts terrorism charges against the suspected mastermind of the bombing of the Nyanya Motor Park in Abuja, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche.

The court hinged its decision to strike out the charge against Ogwuche on lack of diligent prosecution by the state.

Ogwuche was in May repatriated from Sudan, where he fled to after the April 14 bombing of the park, in which no fewer than 75 persons died.

An Army deserter, Ogwuche, who served in a Nigerian intelligence unit, was at the University of South Wales between 2007 and 2010, when it was known as the University of Glamorgan, but failed to complete his course.
