Court adjourns Odumodublvck’s alleged assault trial until April 8

Rapper Odumodublvck

The Federal Capital Territory High Court in Life Camp, Abuja, has adjourned the trial involving rapper Odumodublvck in a civil suit of alleged assault and battery until April 8.

At Tuesday’s sitting, counsel for the claimant, Uchenna Ojembe, and the defence lawyer, Taiwo Akinsulie, were present but proceedings did not begin because the courtroom is undergoing renovation. Both parties agreed on a new date for the matter to continue.

The suit was filed by fellow musician Ogbogiri Levi, popularly known as Kraziecent, over an incident said to have taken place at a public event in December 2024.

In his statement to the court, Kraziecent said Odumodublvck “violently assaulted and battered him” without provocation while he was taking pictures and videos at the event. He also claimed that the rapper caused emotional distress and damaged his iPhone 15 Pro Max during the alleged incident.

Kraziecent is asking the court to order Odumodublvck to pay N2 billion in damages, cover his medical expenses and issue a public apology on the rapper’s social media platforms and in at least two national newspapers.

The case comes amid other public disputes involving the rapper. In November 2025, a court summoned him over alleged criminal intimidation of an executive at Chocolate City Music following disagreements linked to the organisation.

Odumodublvck has also spoken publicly about his dispute with fellow rapper Blaqbonez, saying he remains open to reconciliation if a personal apology is made.

The April 8 hearing is expected to determine the next stage of the civil claim filed by Kraziecent.
