Fans have begun to send congratulations to singers Simi and her husband Adekunle Gold after she showed off her baby bump in the music video for his song ‘My Love Is The Same’.
The clip on Wednesday, which features Simi with her bump visible, drew messages from fans celebrating the couple.
One fan, Tunde, wrote: “AG Baby and Simi said ‘we’re dropping hits AND babies’ — multitasking kings and queens 👑.”
Another user, Timmy Lawal, said: “First Nigerian artistes to marry right. They’re both for each other.”
MacKhadd wrote in part: “Awww 🥰 I’m super happy for them oo Congratulations 🎊 Simi & Kunle!… Where is the guy that was asking a very insensitive question about menopause??? Shame on you.”
The reactions follow a recent comment by a troll on X who claimed that Simi was at “menopause age” and would only have one child. The post drew criticism online, with many users describing it as insensitive and offensive. The user later issued an apology, saying in part: “I want to sincerely apologize for making this tweet, i am a very big fool tweeting something like this… I hope you find it in your hearts to forgive me.”
Simi and Adekunle Gold got married in 2019. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Adejare Kosoko, in 2020.
