Coke Studio Concert thrills ESUT with May D, Dammy Krane

dammy kraneThe Enugu State University (ESUT) witnessed the magic of the Coke Studio Campus Concert last weekend with performances by May D, Dammy Krane, Charass and Sean Breezy.

Brand Manager, Colas, at Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited, Olufemi Ashipa, who also doubles as Project Manager, Coke Studio shared in the fun and commended the level of awareness of the concert at ESUT.

“We are impressed with the level of engagement we have witnessed to date, and we are even more excited that the feedback from the students indicates clearly that this was a great success,” Ashipa commented.

He further disclosed that “The Student Union Government has requested us to stage the concert again; describing it as the best show that has come to ESUT in a while”.

The concert at ESUT started with keen contests among up and coming musicians and dancers who battled each other for a chance to perform live with the superstars on the stage.

Sean Breezy and Charass set the tempo for the day’s performances with ‘I Gat it’, ‘Xbreezy’ and ‘Cocoa Butter’, leaving the stage to rock on the double decker Coke Studio bus.

The massive crowd went wild with excitement as multiple award nominee, May D, stormed the stage with ‘Ile Ijo’ and ‘Sound track’ among other hits.

100-Level Environmental Science student, Chukwudi Odoh, who performed with May D, described the experience as life changing.

“Now that Ihave performed live with May D, whom I look up to, I really believe I can make a success of a career in music. So I thank Coca-Cola for this opportunity to really express myself,” he said.

The Coke Studio Concert has been successfully staged at nine tertiary institutions, including LASPOTECH, UNIPORT, UNILAG, UNILORIN, CRUTECH, ABSU and OAU, Ile-Ife. Next stop is the University of Ibadan.
