Actress and filmmaker Chioma Ifemeludike, better known as IfeDike, has extended a lunch invitation to the 292 people who voted for her during Saturday’s Anambra governorship election.

Chioma, who contested under the African Action Congress (AAC), secured 292 votes across the state’s 5,718 polling units. The result placed her far behind the incumbent governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who won a landslide victory with 422,664 votes.

Taking to X on Sunday, IfeDike expressed gratitude to her supporters, saying she could not wait to meet them in person.
“Dear 292 Solidarity voters, when can we have lunch, wine and hug? I can’t wait. Thank you. I love you,” she wrote.

Despite her low numbers, the actress maintained that integrity was more important than political victory, writing in another post, “Integrity stands firm and higher than political deception. I’m a winner.”

During the election, IfeDike had raised concerns about alleged vote buying, claiming some voters were offered between N3,000 and N5,000 to sell their votes.

The 36-year-old built her campaign around grassroots connection and social interventions. Her manifesto focused on solar power projects, subsidised school fees and improved state security.

IfeDike, a former AAC chairperson in Anambra, studied political science at Anambra State University before pursuing a career in entertainment. She gained attention with her YouTube series Corpers Heaven, inspired by her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) experience.

She has also produced and featured in Igbo-language films such as Painful Truth, Commissioner for Happiness, Mortuary Gate, Plantain Girl and Made in Heaven.

The filmmaker said she intends to celebrate her supporters soon, describing them as “solidarity voters who believed in hope, honesty and a new vision for Anambra.”
