Actress Chika Ike is marking her 40th birthday today, Saturday, with gratitude to God and a call for fans’ prayers.
The milestone is her first birthday as a mother.
Sharing photos on Instagram, she wrote, “Thank you Lord for all that you’ve done and continue to do in my life. Thank you for the gift of life and the gift of motherhood.”
She added, “You are the I Am that I Am, the Lily of the Valley, the Alpha and Omega, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the One who sits on the throne of jasper and taketh the earth as His footstool, the Unchangeable Changer, the One who says yes and no man can say no! My Chikadibia! Please say a prayer for me today! Thank you and God bless.”
Chika welcomed her first child, a baby girl, in March. She announced the birth on Instagram, saying, “My baby is here. Welcome to the world, my sunshine.”
While the identity of the baby’s father remains private, media reports described him as her “mystery partner.”
Born on November 8, 1985, in Onitsha, Anambra State, Chika began acting in church plays as a child and joined Nollywood in 2005.
She holds a degree in Human Kinetics and Health Education from the University of Lagos and has grown into a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist.
Chika has featured in films such as Mirror of Beauty, To Love a Stranger and The Prince and the Princess, earning a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
