Actor Olusegun Akinremi, popularly known as Chief Kanran, is set to be laid to rest tomorrow, Friday, in Lagos.
The burial comes nearly a month after his death on August 15 at the age of 70.
The wake-keep, which begins today, Thursday, will feature an artistic night in his honour. The burial service will follow at Beckley Estate, Abule Egba, with interment immediately after.
Chief Kanran was a household name in the Yoruba film industry. Born in 1955, he started acting as a child during Easter and Christmas stage dramas. He later honed his craft at the University of Lagos and earned a diploma in directing, acting and film production from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
