Toyosi Etim Effiong, wife of actor Daniel Etim Effiong, has said infidelity is not a dealbreaker for her in marriage, explaining that she believes men can be tempted and lured.
She made the remark during an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, where she spoke about marriage within the entertainment industry.
“Cheating is not a dealbreaker for me. I even created a prayer group, Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group, to pray for our husbands so that Jezebels will not carry them,” she said.
According to her, the group was formed based on the belief that men can be lured, with prayers focused on guarding against temptation.
Her comments have since generated reactions online, with some Nigerians expressing concern over her stance on infidelity, while others argued that marriage boundaries differ from person to person.
Daniel Etim -Effiong, who married Toyosi in 2017, has also been a subject of online discussions in the past due to his romantic and kissing scenes in films. Some social media users have questioned how comfortable his wife might be with such roles.
Toyosi has previously addressed such conversations, stating that she understands the demands of her husband’s profession and separates his acting roles from their marriage.
The couple share three children.
