Actor Charles Okocha has received a surprise cash gift of $50,000 from billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu during a visit to the entrepreneur’s office in Lagos.
The moment was captured in a video shared online and quickly spread across social media.
In the clip, Charles is seen stepping out of the office with his associates when he is handed an envelope. When the envelope is opened and the cash is revealed, he reacts with excitement, running around and shouting in his well-known dramatic style. At one point he repeatedly exclaims, “Santa Elumelu!”
The actor posted the video on his Instagram page on Wednesday with the caption:
“SANTA ELUMELU!!!! 50K USD God bless you my Mentor!!@tonyoelumelu 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️.”
In the video, friends and security personnel can be seen around him as he celebrates.
Tony Elumelu is chairman of United Bank for Africa and Heirs Holdings. He is known for his work in banking and philanthropy and for leading the Tony Elumelu Foundation, which supports entrepreneurship across Africa.
