Chain Reactions Africa has won the Gold award in the Travel & Leisure category at the 2026 African SABRE Awards for its work on the Lagos Shopping Festival.
The consultancy also leads all contenders with 10 nominations, the highest number among agencies across the continent.
The African SABRE Awards, now in its tenth year, recognize achievement in branding, reputation and engagement across Africa.
This year’s edition, held in partnership with the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), received over 500 entries, with more than 120 campaigns shortlisted.
Winners will be honored at the PRCA South Africa Conference in Johannesburg on March 17–18.
Chain Reactions Africa’s nominations span multiple sectors, including Company of the Year for the Guinness Nigeria Premier League Trophy Tour, Reputation Management for 9mobile: A Symphony of Voices, Measurement & Evaluation for The Vibranium: Rebranding 9mobile to T2, Public Sector/Government for From Promises to Proofs (Presidency) and Technology for The Vibranium: Tech Meets Tenacity.
Other nominated campaigns include Show Some Love to Mum (Indomie), Standing for Climate Action.
Repping the Future (C40 Cities/Lagos State), and Orijin: Deeply Rooted Campaign.
Managing Director/Chief Strategist of Chain Reactions Africa, Israel Opayemi, said the recognition reflects the consultancy’s work in combining data, insights and cultural intelligence to build brands and maintain credibility in the public relations industry.
Chain Reactions Africa has previously won seven SABRE awards in 2024 and four in 2025 and it has received five nominations at the 2025 Global Alliance World Public Relations and Communication Awards.
Other Nigerian firms recognized this season include Image Merchants Promotion Limited, Integrated Indigo, Red Media Africa and CMC Connect.
The 2026 African SABRE Awards highlight agencies and campaigns across multiple African countries, with Chain Reactions Africa leading in nominations and awards as the event moves toward the Johannesburg ceremony.
