Content creator Carter Efe has said he was stopped by Burna Boy’s security team while trying to approach the singer at the Iconiq Fest in Lagos.

He revealed this during a TikTok live stream.

“His bouncer stopped me,” he said.

Days before the encounter with Burna Boy, Carter gained attention when Afrobeats star Davido appeared on his Twitch livestream. The session drew tens of thousands of live viewers and pushed Efe past 400,000 followers, making him Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer.

During the livestream, Davido praised his relationship with his streaming partner Kolu, comparing it to his own friendship with Israel DMW: “I’ve been seeing the relationship between you and Kolu. It’s just as how people laugh at me and Israel.”

Davido also predicted that Asake, Omah Lay, and Rema are the next big names in Afrobeats after himself, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.

Burna Boy and Davido are among Nigeria’s top music stars with international followings. Their past interactions have included rivalry and reconciliation, and any encounter between them or with other creators often draws public attention.
