Bukola Arugba, Ify Okeke support Eucharia Anunobi after emotional account of marriage, son’s death

Actress Bukola Arugba

Actresses Bukola Arugba and Ify Okeke have shown support for their colleague Eucharia Anunobi after she opened up about the painful realities of her past marriage to Charles Ekwu and the death of her only child.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the 60-year-old disclosed that she single-handedly covered their living expenses.

“Charles, if you’re listening to this. I am not saying the lie. I am not lying against you. He convinced me. I held onto the marriage, believing that it was alright, we would be fine,” she said.

Eucharia revealed that she had ignored her parents’ warnings about the relationship, only to find herself carrying the financial burden alone.

“He’s the same person who said he would be there with me through thick and thin. He’s the same person my parent said ‘Eucharia, this guy is not it for you.’ I was the one paying the rent, I was the one doing everything. Charles never brought one naira. When I started the battle of my life, Charles turned,” she said.

The actress also became emotional during the conversation and broke down in tears while speaking about the death of her son Raymond, which she attributed to medical negligence.

“The student doctor was asked to do a blood transfusion, but he did a blood extraction. I removed three pints of my son’s blood,” she said.

Reacting in the comment section, Bukola Arugba wrote, “Oh my GOD 🤍🤍🤍 Aunty @euchariaanunobi tears will fall but be assured your Heavenly FATHER is collecting them in His bottles , Psalm 56;8 . HE is turning them to joy and gold , every pain to gains, every shame and blame to fame in JESUS MIGHTY NAME AMEN”

Ify Okeke also expressed support, writing, “my Apostle, My Woman of God, My Dr., My Prof, My starmate…. I adore you and you know❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Eucharia married Charles, the father of her only son, in 2000. However, the marriage ended in divorce after six years.

Their son, Raymond Ekwu, who was born in 2002, lived with sickle cell anaemia from birth and died on August 22, 2017 at the age of 15 due to complications from the condition.
