Bukky Wright disowns fake accounts, warns fans over fraudulent UK job offer

Actress Bukky Wright has released a statement warning her followers to beware of fake social media accounts impersonating her and offering fraudulent opportunities.

She took to her Instagram page on Thursday to share a post which read, “🚨 Important Notice 🚨

“Dear friends and supporters,
Please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested for money. Then, I will never request for personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my main page!

“If you receive any suspicious messages or offers, kindly report and block those accounts immediately.

“NB: A post was made on my account offering a job vacancy in UK and in turn we realize was fraudulent please disregard!!!

“Thank you all for your continued love and support. Your safety and trust mean so much to me. ❤️

“With love,
Bukky Wright.”

Bukky captioned the post, “A MUST READ!”

The 58-year-old, who has starred in movies like Omotara Johnson, Red Hot, and Unforgivable, urged fans to remain vigilant and avoid falling prey to online scammers.

This is not the first time a celebrity will be calling out impersonators. Recently, actress Iyabo Ojo also raised alarm over a blogger impersonating her on Facebook.

Bukky Wright joins a growing list of Nigerian entertainers warning their followers against online scams carried out in their names.
