Bolaji Ogunmola in tears after multiple flight cancellations at Ekiti Airport

Actress Bolaji Ogunmola has shared her frustration after being stranded at Ekiti Airport due to repeated flight cancellations. She spoke about the ordeal on Instagram on Thursday.

In an emotional video, Bolaji who broke down in tears said she had already spent over N20 million on a movie production she could no longer meet because of the travel delays. She described the airline’s response as lacking empathy, remorse, or clear communication.

The actress said she now has no choice but to travel by road, despite the risks involved.

She added, “United airline @flyunitednigeria is so sad in 2026, that basic human decency and service fully paid for doesn’t matter!!!! If you a frequent flyer please and please avoid this airline. It’s a shame!!!!!!”

Her post was captioned, “Dear @flyunitednigeria, I’ll be in touch!!!!”

The incident comes shortly after another Nigerian actress, Simi Drey, publicly criticised an airline over travel problems abroad. Simi said she was stranded in South Africa for more than 24 hours despite holding a confirmed business class ticket. She said she was repeatedly denied boarding because of internal errors by the airline and its operating partner.

She added that staff later offered her a seat only in economy class if she agreed to a “voluntary downgrade” and gave up her right to compensation. Simi, who is a breastfeeding mother, said the experience was particularly difficult and called for urgent accountability from the airline.
