Self-acclaimed relationship expert Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has reacted to reports that her partner, auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna aka IVD, was arrested while trying to leave the country.
According to blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus on Saturday, IVD was arrested on Friday, at the airport while trying to board a flight to Qatar.
She wrote:
“Insiders say the arrest has to do with domestic violence case against him regarding his late wife Bimbo which is still in court….IVD is not supposed to leave Nigeria until the case is over.”
Stella added that the businessman will remain in custody until Monday, when he is expected to appear in court.
She further claimed that Blessing CEO confirmed the arrest and is trying to assist him.
“The love of his life Blessing CEO has confirmed the arrest to sources and is running around to see how she can help him…..”
Despite the arrest report, Blessing CEO appeared unbothered as she shared photos of herself in traditional attire on Instagram with the caption, “Bride to be. Saturdays are for weddings.”
Social media users have since reacted to the drama.
A user wrote: “I think his late wife is at work make she start to they revenge this one sweet me.”
Another added: “Why was they publicly planning to travel out when they know he wasn’t allowed to leave d country yet ….hmmmm.”
“Marriage never start, wahala don full ground. Blessing CEO choose your battles o. You never enter marriage, you don’t dey waka police station dey go give person food for cell. Ha. Women. Don’t start what you can’t finish,” someone else said.
Another user commented: “Too much of chocho on social media no good ooh, trying to pepper those who no even sabi you real life, her body go come down now.”
IVD has remained a controversial figure since the death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, in 2022 following a domestic dispute. He was later charged with involuntary manslaughter and released on bail.
Last month, IVD appeared to throw a subtle jab at his late wife while praising Blessing CEO in a post about finding happiness again.
He wrote: “I fell in love again. I found happiness again. I found a good thing and I will never lose it.”
In another post, he added: “I found a helper, I found a friend, I found a mother. Thank you bceo_official.”
Blessing CEO, who once claimed she was only IVD’s therapist, has publicly embraced their relationship, referring to herself as his wife and the “only woman who stood by him when the world left.”
