Actress Bimpe Akintunde has penned an emotional message to actress Peju Ogunmola following her announcement of return to the screen after the death of her only child.
Bimpe, in an Instagram post on Wednesday, shared a photo of Peju and wrote:
“Dear Mother you are an Angel. I celebrate your strength Ma. Thank you for being brave. Keep enjoying the grace of God. Long life and peace is what I pray for. Welcome back ma.”
Peju Ogunmola, wife of comic actor Sunday Omobolanle better known as Aluwe, recently shared a video to announce her comeback to acting months after losing her son, Ayomikun Omobolanle.
In the clip, the actress thanked her fans and colleagues for their love and prayers during her mourning period, saying she was ready to continue doing what she loves.
“A new month, a new dawn. The past months have been heavy, but your love, prayers, and condolences have carried me through the storm. Today I rise, stronger, grateful, and ready to embrace my passion again. The screens have missed me, and I’m back doing what I love most,” she said.
Peju’s return has been met with warm reactions from her colleagues in the Yoruba film industry who hailed her courage and strength to face the camera again after such a painful loss.
The actress, who is the daughter of late theatre legend Kola Ogunmola, has been a respected figure in the Yoruba movie industry for decades.
