Being a single mum is hard, I miss my late husband –Ka3na

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ka3na Jones has opened up about the emotional toll of raising her children alone following the death of her husband, Jones.

In a heartfelt post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the reality TV star admitted she is struggling to adjust to life as a single mother.

“I don’t believe I can even get used to being a single parent. This sh*t is hard,” she wrote.

Ka3na, who gained fame during the 2020 BBNaija Season 5 Lockdown edition, rejected the popular belief that things get better over time, insisting the burden only grows.

“They say it gets easier with time. Lies! They only grow—the anxiety, the grief, the responsibility, the sacrifices!” she said.

The mother of two also reflected on her late husband, stating that despite the challenges, she would not change anything about her life decisions.

“Would I have done anything differently if I knew? Honestly, no. Because I can’t imagine my world right now without my baby girl. I miss Mr. Jones every passing day.”

Ka3na continued: “Am I angry sometimes? Tired? Worn out? Yes. Do I wish someone would just look at me and say, ‘Katie, take a break… I got this?’ Absolutely!!! I. Am. Tired.”

Her post drew sympathy from fans and followers, with one commenting, “It is well with you. May God give you all the peace that you need.”

Another wrote, “Be strong boss lady.”

A third shared, “Sometimes it can be overwhelming though. Yesterday I cried my eyes out. But am good now. Good morning Boss.”

Mr Jones died in May 2023. Ka3na confirmed the news in a statement, identifying herself as his legal and traditional wife. In October of the same year, she travelled to Italy to scatter his ashes at sea.

Later, the entrepreneur revealed she inherited $900 million from the sale of some of her late husband’s assets, adding that she received a credit alert to confirm the funds.
