BBNaija twins Wanni and Handi performed at Yvonne Jegede’s 20-year Nollywood celebration, delivering DJ sets that got guests dancing throughout the night.
The event, tagged “Yvonne Jegede: Reimagined”, took place on Sunday and featured a host of Nollywood and music stars.
Guests at the party included 2Baba and his wife Natasha Osawaru, actor Nosa Rex (Babarex), singer Orezi, filmmaker Charles Novia, actress Mary Njoku, journalist Sam Olatunji and singer Mike Ezuruonye.
The DJs were also seen dancing with Yvonne, adding an extra touch of excitement to the celebrations.
Reflecting on her milestone in a previous interview, Yvonne said, “The emotions I feel when I reflect is just fulfillment, gratitude and love, some of the people that got into the industry the same time with me are no longer here, so I’m grateful for the grace that has brought me this far and kept me relevant.”
“It’s really a rebirth because the last 20yrs seemed to have been a period of self-discovery… I am now ready to show that part of me to the world, every rebirth comes with new vision and renewed gusto.”
Her acting journey began with a chance meeting with filmmaker Charles Novia, which led to her role in Missing Angel, and she later gained fame in 2Baba’s iconic ‘African Queen’ video.
