Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Jason Jae has emerged as the show’s first interim Head of House, following a fresh twist introduced by Big Brother.
Jason clinched the title on Sunday night after winning the first HoH challenge of the season. However, unlike previous seasons where the winner enjoyed full immunity and access to luxury privileges for a week, this year’s format comes with a shake-up.
Big Brother announced that Jason’s status is “interim” and subject to change, as he will compete again in a Head of House challenger game on Monday, where his title could be taken away.
The challenge, titled “The Sense of Peace”, was played in three stages. In the first round, housemates were asked to stack plates and blocks to mirror a sample model. Jason was one of the eight housemates who advanced to the second round.
For the second stage, the remaining housemates were grouped into pairs and asked to collect gold bars. Jason collected 15 bars to proceed to the final round, where he successfully opened a treasure box and was declared the winner.
He chose fellow housemate Doris as his companion in enjoying HoH privileges for the night.
The twist has generated buzz among fans, many of whom are excited about the fast-paced nature of the new format.
Big Brother Naija Season 10, themed “10 Over 10”, kicked off with 29 housemates from diverse backgrounds.
The winner of this year’s edition will go home with a N150 million cash prize, an SUV and other gifts from sponsors.
